Plano Community Garden - Garden Walk

The garden is at it's peak for the season and it's beautiful!

It's the perfect time to visit the garden and sample some fresh produce. You can learn more about gardening in general and organic gardening techniques. Learn how to build your own rain barrel and drip irrigation system to conserve water in your own gardens. The kids can help decorate a rain barrel or get their face painted.

There will be raffle prizes, plus baked goods and local honey for sale.

Cap the day off with a vintage baseball game between the Somonauk Blue Stockings and the DuPage Plowboys. The crowd can even join in the game after the 4th inning!

The Plano Community Garden is a nonprofit organization that works to grow and provide fresh produce to the Kendall County Food Panty. Last year we were able to donate 6,400 pounds and this year our goal is to donate 10,000 pounds of produce to the pantry … we could use your support!

We're located across the street from the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home at 1010 W South St, Plano, IL 60545
