Holiday Gala

Come out to the Children’s Nature Initiative’s Holiday Gala on December 8th from 2-4PM at the beautiful Historic Courthouse. There will be a professional storyteller, musical performances from Fox River Academy of Music and Art, performances by students from Yorkville Performing Arts Center, holiday craft making, professional holiday portraits available, and refreshments provided. The cost for a family of four and under is $5. Parties greater than four will cost $5 plus an additional $1 per person. All proceeds will go directly to the Forest Foundation of Kendall County to benefit the new Nature Exploration Station at Hoover Forest Preserve.
Through a partnership with the Kendall County Forest Preserve District, the Children’s Nature Initiative intends to redevelop a half acre plot at the scenic Hoover Forest Preserve to create the Nature Exploration Station. This wide-ranging nature play space will include a children’s garden, outdoor stage, art and music areas, forts, cultural interpretation area, a water feature and more. There is no other place like this in northern Illinois. Come out and learn more about the new space while enjoying the Holiday Gala.
