SHOPPING FLASH MOB OPPORTUNITY - A surprise "flash mob" for Renee Davis...an owner of a Diva's Delights women's boutique right here in Yorkville. What do you have to do? Just show up and SHOP! Here's the story: Renee Davis is the owner, a mom and a full-time mail carrier by day, running her boutique on the weekends and with her daughter's help. They are some of the most thoughtful and hardest working people I've met. For example, her current special is a "Pink Sale," in support of Breast Cancer Awareness where all items with pink on them are 20% off. Also, 10% of this month's sales go to the Mary Kay Foundation's mission to eliminate cancer and violence against women. Due to requirements at Renee's day job, soon she will be required to work additional hours, every other Monday with no increase in pay. Monday, October 22nd is the last Monday before this change, so I'd like to schedule the Flash Mob that night at 6:30pm. WHERE? Diva's Delights, 129 Commercial Drive, Unit 7, Yorkville - in between Curves and St. Joseph's Cabinetry, right on Route 47, north of the railroad tracks (opposite side of the road as Wrigley gum factory). What? Group of moms supporting a local mom business owner by showing up to shop. How much? FREE (unless you decide to buy something). What for? The priceless look on Renee's face when she sees how supportive our community of moms can be. Can we bring our kids? Absolutely. Can we bring our holiday shopping lists? You bet. Renee has lots of cute things at reasonable rates and FREE gift wrapping in a classy leopard print tissue paper. Have you ever wanted to meet the other moms in our group? Well this is your chance!
