Community Suicide Program

Suicide is very difficult to understand and has a long
lasting impact on a community.  As a
community service, Trinity Church in Yorkville is sponsoring  an informative session on the subject on
Saturday, March 15 at 6 pm.  An optional
Pot Luck supper for the community begins at 5 pm.  What are the real facts verses the common
myths or misunderstandings about suicide? 
What is the QPR intervention method? 
What should parents, teachers, and church leaders know and what actions
can they take?



Stephanie L. Weber will lead the hour long
session at Trinity Church United Methodist. 
She is the Executive Director of Suicide Prevention Services, Inc., a
non-profit organization headquartered in Kane County, Illinois. She has a B.S.
in teaching from Northern Illinois University, and an MS from Indiana State
University in Counseling. She has since secured vast study throughout the
United States. Stephanie founded Survivors of Suicide, a nearly 30-year-old
self-help group. As a well-known suicidologist, grief counselor, speaker and
crisis coach, her calendar gratifies
