Sandwich Man Charged with Nine Counts of Theft

A Sandwich man has been charged with nine felony counts of theft for an incident dating back to Feb. 12, 2012, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

Richard Stiles, 19, of the 0-99 block of West Fayette Street, Sandwich, was arrested May 13, said the Sheriff’s office.

Back on Feb. 12 the Sheriff’s office took a report for theft after money was reported taken from the Hide-a-way Lakes Campground, in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Rd, Yorkville, in unincorporated Kendall County.

After an investigation they charged Stiles with nine felony counts of theft over $500.

His bond was set for 10 percent of $50,000 and he is in custody at the Kendall County Jail.

The public is reminded that criminal defendants are presumed innocent until the government is able to prove its charges in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
