Yorkville's Kendall Crossing Theater Officially Opens Thursday

Tickets for upcoming shows can be purchased online at the company's website.

The highly-anticipated Kendall Crossing Movie Theater has opened just in time for the "Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

The theater celebrated an open house on Wednesday evening, offering free showings to several movies and free popcorn and a drink.

They officially opened on Thursday, Nov. 21, the premiere date of the also eagerly awaited "Hunger Games" sequel. 

The 38,500-square-foot theater will have have 9 screens plus an "Xtreme" theater, which is a large format theater with premium seating and premium sound.

Kendall Crossing Movie Theater, 1505 North Bridge Street, is built almost exactly where the previous Countryside Theater was.

All moviegoers will be happy to know that NCG movie theaters offer free refills on popcorn and drinks of all sizes.
