Rebounds Sports Bar Opens in Yorkville

Ask George Tsaliangos what he enjoys most about his newest restaurant endeavor and he’ll tell you its his customers.

Tsaliangos is the owner of Rebounds, a sports bar on Yorkville's south side at 1901 S. Bridge St., which opened earlier this month. The location previously was Sports Fanatix Bar & Grill and Field House Sports Bar & Grill.

“Everybody’s been so nice,” the Shorewood resident said. “And they’re happy to be in my bar. They make me feel like I’m home. My customers are No. 1 in my life.”

Tsaliangos had considered several locations in the area before choosing to put his business roots down in  Yorkville.

“I liked the area and the people so that’s the reason I got it,” he said.

Menu offerings at Rebounds include appetizers, wraps, sandwiches steaks and entrees.

“I don’t know how the people operated here before me but I have my own way and my way is to be very good to the people,” said Tsaliangos, who has been in the restaurant business for more than 30 years. “I want the best for my customers so I give them good food at good prices.”

A grand opening celebration for the bar will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, March 9.

Regular business hours are 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to midnight Sundays.
