Low-Income Tax Assistance Program Open

The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program is open and running at the Kendall County Food Pantry.

The Kendall County IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, according to a news release from the .

The program offers free tax help for families with annual incomes of $50,000 or below and individuals with annual incomes of $25,000 or below, according to the news release. The program is open from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the . Appointments are required.

Sponsored by the food pantry and , the volunteers received training on basic tax returns.
