In just a few weeks you may be watching movies once more in Yorkville.
The Kendall Crossing Movie Theater, located at the old Countryside Shopping Center, is expected to open in mid-November, according to Neighborhood Cinema Group (NCG) Marketing Director Pat O’Boyle.
“Depending on which construction guy you ask the date tends to fluctuate, but we’re pretty certain we’ll be open for the Hunger Games Catching Fire,” said O’Boyle, which is on Nov. 22.
The Kendall Crossing Theater will feature one “Xtreme Theater”, which is a large format theater with premium seating and premium sound, said O’Boyle.
All NCG movie theaters also offer free refills on popcorn and drinks of all sizes, said O’Boyle.
And to prepare for the November opening, Kendall Crossing will be holding an open hiring event on October 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on October 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Timber Creek Inn & Suites and Convention Center, 3300 Drew Avenue, Sandwich. Applicants are asked to bring a resume and an application (found here) to the interview.
Positions up for hire include an assistant manager, box office, concession, usher and maintenance. All details can be found here.
