Found it on Etsy: Vintage and Handmade Jewelry

Multiple jewelry artists are a part of The Pookies Jewelry Box.

Welcome to “Found it On Etsy,” a weekly feature of an Etsy art shop by a local artist or crafter.

What is Etsy? Etsy is an online market for crafters and artists to gather, sell their original products, and purchase or sell supplies.

Each week we will feature an artist or crafter from the Kendall County area. If you know of someone in Kendall County who would like to be featured, please email me at natalie.stevens@patch.com.

This week features the shop The Pookies Jewelry Box from Oswego.

Unlike many of the shops profiled thus far, The Pookies Jewelry Box sells both handmade jewelry and re-sells vintage jewelry all the way from the 1920s to today.

Owner Sandy Strong said she originally began selling jewelry that her daughter and mother gave to her. "Then, friends started asking me if I would sell jewelry for them. Before I knew it, I had well over 200 pieces of vintage jewelry, over 100 pieces of hand made jewelry and several accessories."

Strong also makes her own handmade jewelry and sells it in her shop. Her shop also has multiple artists and crafters who sell under The Pookies Jewelry Box so there is a wide variety of what kind of jewelry is available.

The shop offers free shipping to the local area in an effort to encourage shopping local. If you live in the town of Oswego, Yorkville, Sandwich, Plano, Bristol, Montgomery, or Plainfield you can use the coupon code BUYL0CAL to get free shipping.

Visit The Pookies Jewelry Box to see many more vintage and handmade jewelry creations.
