Found it on Etsy: Pillowcase Dresses for Little Girls

Etsy shop TallullahTextile sells dresses made out of pillowcases and other materials.

Welcome to “Found it On Etsy,” a weekly feature of an Etsy art shop by a local artist or crafter.

What is Etsy? Etsy is an online market for crafters and artists to gather, sell their original products, and purchase or sell supplies.

Each week we will feature an artist or crafter from the Kendall County area. If you know of someone in Kendall County who would like to be featured, please email me at natalie.stevens@patch.com.

This week features the shop TallullahTextile from Oswego.

TallulahTextile sells a variety of little girl's dresses and rompers made out of pillowcases to cotton fabrics.

Owner and artist Jenni Carmody says in her profile that her life has always revolved around art in some way.

"For a few years, my artistic nature had to be shelved in order to raise my twin boys and two girls. But after the completion of our own diaper landfill , I felt it was time to challenge myself and begin sewing and creating," she wrote on her profile.

Carmody says bright and bold colors have always been her favorite, so she uses those and fun patterns in her clothing that she designs.

Visit TallullahTextile on Etsy to see more patterns and styles and to purchase a dress or romper.
