This week features the shop Sugar Mint Candle Co. from Montgomery.

Sugar Mint Candle Co. makes hand-poured soy candles using fresh fragrance oils and essential oils. A few of the scents offered include pink grapefruit, meyer lemon, peppermint and black raspberry.

"All of our soy candles are dye-free and contain phthalate-free premium fragrance oils or pure essential oils," says one of the item descriptions. "Even our cotton wicks are eco-friendly! We hand-pour all candles in small batches for consistency and quality."

The shop also sells linen sprays in a variety of scents to eliminate odors.

Shop owner Jennie says she got her shop name from sugar mint candies. "These are the little candies that are offered at the end of a good meal, or after a wonderful visit with a friend that give you a sweet little reminder of where you've been. When offered a "sugar mint," you end the visit with a good memory. That's how I make my candles! They are the good memory," she writes in her shop description.

Sugar Mint Candle Co. will be selling candles and linen sprays at the Montgomery Festival this weekend, Aug. 9 - Aug. 11, in the vendor exhibit next to the main stage.
