Here's a sneak peek at the free family play the Fox Country Players are performing Saturday and Sunday at Hometown Days.

"Wiley and the Hairy Man" follows a traditional Southern tale about overcoming fear, according to the Fox Country Players' website. The production relies on lyric poetry and mime, with few props and a sparse set, to show how Wiley travels into the woods armed only with Mammy's advice for besting this particular beast, according to the website.

The play is offered at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Beecher Center, adjacent to . Admission is free, and the community center is air-conditioned.

Wiley is portrayed by Rachel Eaton, while Robert Allen plays the Hairy Man. Laura Allen is Mammy, while the chorus is comprised of Taylor Vicini, Genevieve Schloesser, Debbie Allen and Robin Earnest.
