Grammy-Winning Norah Jones Expected to Perform in Yorkville Concert

The Wild Rovers Tour is on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 8 p.m.

The Wild Rovers Tour, an outdoor music concert scheduled to hit Yorkville on Aug. 6, may feature Grammy-winning singer Norah Jones.

The concert kicks off at 8 p.m. at Riverfront Park and is expected to go until 10:30 p.m.

Headlining the show are The Candles, folk rocker Cory Chisel, SpaceWoman and Adriel Deane.

The New-York based Candles have toured across the US and internationally and recently played with songstress Norah Jones on her yearlong world tour. Chisel also opened for Jones on her international tour.

Although the concert is not being advertised as having Norah Jones, she is expected to make a surprise appearance.

Jones has won nine Grammys with many for her 2002 debut album “Come Away With Me.” She has also released five full length records.

A hint on the Wild Rovers Tour event posted to the Yorkville Patch says one normally pays over $300 to see the mystery singer.

A limited number of tickets are available for $15 a piece. You can purchase them online here.
