This holiday-season kick off will include a tree-lighting ceremony, skating, food, Kris Kringle Market, refreshments, a Gold Star Academy of Dance performance, giveaways from several Yorkville businesses, and a visit from Santa Claus.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place from 5 to 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Route 47 and Hydraulic Street.
Santa will visit River City Roasters, 131 E. Hydraulic St., from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

All-weather skating will take place at Riverfront Park from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
The Gold Star Academy of Dance performance will take place at 7 p.m. at Old Second Bank Downtown.
