Yorkville Snowfall Total is Highest in Chicago Area

After 24 hours of snowfall, the National Weather Service said Yorkville had the most snow.

Well, according to the National Weather Service, Yorkville claims the prize of having the most snowfall in a 24 hour period from 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning to 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Yorkville got a total of 11.7 inches, according to the NWS, which beat out Ottawa (11 inches) and De Kalb (10.2 inches).

And what did some of our neighbors get?

As of 8:31 p.m. Tuesday night, the NWS reported that Oswego had 8.1 inches of snow. Plano at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday was reported with 8.3 inches.
