Yorkville Native Richter Starring in New Lottery Ads

TV personality is also credited as the ad campaign's director.

Yorkville native and Conan O’Brien sidekick Andy Richter is starring in a new series of ads for the Illinois Lottery.

According to the Lottery’s website, Richter is part of the agency’s campaign to promote Mega Millions or Powerball jackpots that exceed $100 million. Richter is also credited with directing the spots.

“Working with Andy was so much fun,” said Jim Schmidt, Partner and Creative Director at Downtown Partners Chicago, which helped produce the ad campaign. “These commercials are sure to gain attention, provide information about the jackpot and make people laugh. The Gil Mitchell character gets the message across using a delivery persona that is delightfully unconventional and ultimately entertaining.”
