Yorkville Gas Prices Up After Snowstorm
The cheapest regular gasoline price was $3.299 at 7 a.m. Friday, compared to $3.119 Jan. 28, according to motortrend.com.
Yorkville's cheapest regular gasoline prices shot up 18 cents in the past week, with and BP posting prices of $3.299 Friday morning, according to motortrend.com.
The trend continued with other grades of gasoline. Plus gasoline increased about 15 cents, with BP, 1402 N. Bridge St., offering the cheapest in Yorkville Friday morning at $3.369, according to the website. Speedway, 504 S. Bridge St., was offering the lowest premium gasoline at $3.499, which is 18 cents above last week's lowest price.
BP was offering diesel at $3.599, a 10-cent hike from last week's lowest recorded price on motortrend.com. Fast Stop, 8115 Route 47, south of Yorkville, was offering E-85 gasoline at $3.119, according to motortrend.com.

In Oswego, the cheapest regular gasoline price recorded was $3.119 at Mobil, 6551 Route 34, and at Murphy USA, 2350 Route 34. In Plano, Casey's, 16 N. Center St., was selling regular gas for $3.069, according to motortrend.com's Plano report.
The Motor Trend website cautions that gas prices are volitile but indicates its price information is provided by OPIS, which provides pump prices based on credit-card transactions collected from fleet vehicles.
