'Superman' Representatives Pick up Yorkville Permit Application

Meanwhile, set construction continues in Plano.

Superman representatives have picked up a film permit application from Yorkville officials as construction on sets in Plano continues rapidly.

Yorkville Mayor Gary Golinski confirmed the application request but said he was unsure if the production would ultimately film in Yorkville, perhaps in .

Meanwhile, the public is welcome to walk along Main Street in Plano as crews build sets near the city’s depot, although Mayor Bob Hausler asked that visitors avoid parking in front of businesses unless they are patronizing those businesses.

“It actually changes every day,” Hausler said. “They’re doing a fast job of constructing their buildings for their sets.”

The production company has security officers for safety concerns, but the public is welcome to walk along the street and take photographs, he said.

“We really welcome anyone who would want to come to our Main Street, walk around and go to our businesses,” Hausler said.

Filming for the movie, nicknamed Autumn Frost, is scheduled for next month.
