Search is On for Next 'Mrs. Yorkville'

Yorkville is seeking talented married women to represent the city as Mrs. Yorkville for the Mrs. Illinois pageant. Winning the pageant would be an excellent way to represent Yorkville on the national stage and to showcase our wonderful city. 

Once selected, Mrs. Yorkville will move on to the Mrs. Illinois Pageant on April 19 at the Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin. 

The selected individual will be eligible to compete for thousands of dollars in prizes, including a 10-day, expenses-paid trip to compete for Mrs. America. 

There is no upper age limit to compete, but contestants must be at least 18. There is also no limit on the type of performance or talent but the individual must be married by the time of the competition. 

The pageant is in its 36th year and is dedicated to “Recognizing the one person who contributes so much to modern family life ... America's married woman!" While beauty is a key element in the competition, Mrs. Yorkville contestants are also urged to voice their opinions on marriage, community, and important issues of the day.
