Yorkville kicked off its Music Under the Stars series with a wine night.

Yorkville Parks and Recreation invited Fox Valley Winery along with Billy Croft and the Five Alarm Band to come to Town Square Park Friday night. The evening was the first of a series of summer concerts in the park, two more of which will feature wine tastings.

The Fox Valley Winery offered wine glasses for $5 and tastings for another dollar. Full glasses and bottles were also offered.

Billy Croft, the lead singer of the band, is a local artist who has recently travelled to Nashville where he writes music and also recorded the bands first ever CD.
