Moms Talk: Warm Weather Escapes

Where are the best places to take your kids to play when temperatures push 80 and beyond?

Summer burst into Yorkville this week with temperatures reaching 80 and beyond. We could be hovering close to a record: The Weather Channel's website indicates that Yorkville's record high, set in 1987, for May 11 is 88 degrees.

On the flip side, the record low, set in 1907, is 28 degrees, according to The Weather Channel website.

Parents, how do you respond to these first bursts of summer? What local parks would you suggest for kids ages 5 and younger? Where do you send older kids (10 and older) to burn off energy? Do you do anything special to make sure they stay hydrated?
