How to Post Your Garage and Yard Sales on the Yorkville Patch
Plus, see all the garage sales in the area each week!
There is finally some warm weather in Yorkville, which means most of us have made a dent in our spring cleaning -- and also means garage and yard sale season is starting up.
Whether you're trying to haul everything out of the basement and sell it or you're looking for a great bargain, this is the place to be. Posting your garage sale on Yorkville Patch is easy ... and even better yet, it's free. You must be registered on Patch and logged in to enter an event, so do that first by clicking here.
Then, follow these steps:
- Click on “EVENTS” in the top navigation bar on the home page.
- On the left side of the page, click the big green button that says “POST AN EVENT.”
- Give your event a title (e.g., “Multi-Family Garage Sale”) and complete the form, including the date, time and location of your sale.
- Add a description of what you’re selling. Click on the “camera” icon under the description box if you want to add photos.
- Choose a category if you’d like. You can choose up to three.
- At the bottom of the page, click on “ADVANCED OPTIONS” if you want to add more dates.
After you've completed the form, click on the big green button on the bottom of the page that says “POST NOW” and you’re done.

Each week on Thursday for as long as garage sale season lasts we'll post a list of garage sales in the area for your browsing purposes from our events calendar.
If you would like your garage sale listed, please be sure to post it as an event by 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
