Registration is open for the 2nd Annual LutherRun 5K Walk/Run slated for Saturday, May 14, 2011, presented by Accelerated Rehab. Net proceeds of the 5K supports the Cross Lutheran School sports program. Start time for the LutherRun is 9:00 a.m. in the parking lot of Cross Lutheran Church and School on Route 47 and Ament Road in Yorkville. The race route will take runners and walkers on a 3.1-mile course. Awards will be given in eight age categories and overall male and female.
Runners, families and walkers of all fitness levels are welcome to participate and are allowed to push strollers. No bikes or pets are allowed. Pre-registration is highly encouraged. Registration forms can be downloaded at www.hiscross.org. Same day registration begins at 7:45 on race day. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 15 and under. Early registration guarantees a goodie bag and race t-shirt. Those who registered prior to race day may pick up race packets on Friday, May 13 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. or May 14 beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Cross Lutheran in Yorkville.
