CASA Kendall County Seeks Voluteer Advocates for Abused and Neglected Children
Court Appointed Special Advocate Kendall County are appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court proceedings.
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Kendall County is seeking qualified adults to serve as volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children in Kendall County.
CASA volunteers are trained members of the community who are appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court proceedings. As an official of the court, the CASA volunteer conducts independent interviews in all areas of a child’s life and provides information as well as recommendations to the court. CASA volunteers collaborate with attorneys, social workers and family members to reach the goal of a safe and permanent home for every child.
CASA volunteers come from all walks of life. They are chosen on the basis of their objectivity, competence, and commitment. Resources are provided by CASA Kendall County and each volunteer must complete extensive training to serve as an advocate to a child.
