Area Grade Schooler Leads the Way in Holiday Pet Food Drive for Kendall County Food Pantry

Passion for animals leads to food collection efforts.

Tommy Weglarz, a Prairie Point Elementary School Student, has a passion for animals. Even though he is too young to be a member of Lisa Paluch’s Student Leadership Team, Tommy collected pet food for the Kendall County Food Pantry to be distributed to the clients for their pets. 

Also participating in the KCFP Holiday pet food drive were:

  • Septran Bus Company, located at 3241 Cannonball Trail, Bristol
  • Canine Physical Rehab/See Spot Swim located at 2285 Cornell Avenue, Montgomery
  • Oswegoland Park District
  • Fox Ridge Veterinary Clinic, located at 130 5th Street, Oswego
  • GoDogGo located at 100 S. Main Street, Oswego
  • Heads or Tails located at 17 W. Jefferson, Oswego
  • RJ Automotive, located at 24 Stone Hill Road Unit A, Oswego
  • The Village Grind, located at 19 Main Street, Oswego
  • Close Companion, located at 1304 Sunset Avenue, Yorkville
  • Empower Martial Arts and Fitness, located at 1213 S. Bridge Street (rt. 47), Yorkville
  • Nurture Your Pets located at 210 Beaver Street, Yorkville

Adding monetary donations to the KCFP pet food drive were: Rebecca Wilhelmi, Ashley Given, Russell Paddick, and Little Russ, a rescue dachshund, who sponsored a booth at the Oswego Christmas Walk in the Old Fire Barn.
