Rover Rescue Dog of the Week

Good Golly, Miss Molly!  Yep!  That’s me, Molly!  And I have been told that I am a dolly.  I have had a tough life until now.  I was living with a family in Southern Indiana until my parents were arrested for illegal drug activities.  I was turned over to Animal Control and was scheduled to be euthanized.  Rover Rescue saved me just in the nick of time!  Whew!  Believe me; it was too close for comfort!  But now I am safe and living the life of leisure in IL.  Now that you know my history, let me tell you about myself.  I am a 7 year old German Shepherd/ Husky mix.  I weigh just 63 pounds and I have a beautiful coat of white and cream.   I will let you brush and pet me for hours.   Aren’t I pretty?!   I get along great with adults and children.  I tolerate my foster canine siblings, but I don’t necessarily like sharing my attention with them. I would much rather be your one and only dog.  If I do have to share, I would much prefer a larger dog like myself as a playmate or a puppy to nurture.  I still have a good amount of energy even though my days of rocking and rolling are limited.   I am much more on the mellow, easy listening side now.  I like to spend a majority of my time just chillin’ in a comfy spot.   But you can watch me shake it when I first wake you up in the morning or when you come home from work.   My foster mom says that I can prance like a Lipizzaner Stallion.   I also get very excited about car rides…I LOVE going for car rides!   Walks are also the greatest, but I still pull on my leash at times.   I am told that I am a good girl because I know to go outside to do my business.  If you are looking for a companion from the early, early morning to the early, early night, please call Teri at 630-897-7454.  I may not want to rock n roll all night with Little Richard anymore, but I would love to rock and snuggle the night with you!
