Nathaniel Halmagyi Volunteered During Annual Make a Difference Day at Marietta College

Nathaniel Halmagyi (Class of 2016) of Yorkville, IL, is one of more than 300 Marietta College students and employees who volunteered for more than four hours during the annual Make a Difference Day this fall.

Halmagyi is a graduate of Oswego Community High School and is majoring in Petroleum Engineering.

Make a Difference Day was coordinated by the McDonough Center's Office of Civic Engagement, and organizers said the volunteers worked at one of 20 service sites in the Mid-Ohio Valley on Oct. 26.

Located in Marietta, Ohio, at the confluence of the Muskingum and Ohio rivers, Marietta College is a four-year liberal arts college. Tracing its roots to the Muskingum Academy begun in 1797, the College was officially chartered in 1835. Today Marietta College serves a body of 1,425 full-time students. The College offers 44 majors and has been listed among Barron's Best Buys in College Education and Peterson's Competitive Colleges, and has been recognized as one of the top regional comprehensive colleges by U.S. News and World Report and The Princeton Review.
