What New Businesses Are Going Up In the Area?

A few new shops have opened in the area and a few more are in the works.

It's been a busy last few weeks for business construction in the area.

Scroll through the gallery above and read below to see what new businesses have come (or are coming) to the Yorkville area.

Midland States Bank
The new bank on Countryside has recently broken ground and expects to open early next year.

Quizno's
Sadly, this one would be an outgoing business. The store closed on Thanksgiving.

Kendall Crossing Movie Theater
It opened a few weeks ago, but have you been by to check out Yorkville's new movie theater? (I'm a rather big fan of the drink machines and the squishy chairs!).

TCBY Frozen Yogurt Opens in Oswego
Craving froyo? TCBY Yogurt opened in Oswego just last week. Have you had a chance to check it out?

Pier 1 Imports
Wow, pretty amazing what happens in a month! The Oswego store is scheduled for a March 2014 opening.

Panera Bread
Oswego's Panera Bread will be moving to a new location sometime next year in the Gerry Centennial Plaza. The outside of the building appears to have been finished (and street lamps were being installed at the taking of this photo).

The location is also anticipated to have a laundromat.

Potbelly
Potbelly fans were pretty excited for the Oswego location to open last week. (I tried it for the first time and greatly enjoyed my roast beef!). Have you been to Oswego's newest sandwich shop?

Noodles & Company
Next door to Potbelly is the long-awaited Noodles & Company. The location is set to open on Monday, Dec. 16.

Physicians Urgent Care
A new medical office opened just a few doors down from Potbelly and offers a range of services, including physicals, lab tests, x-rays and more.

Alexander Lumber Co.
This is one business that is going down rather than up. Demolition of the property is scheduled to start Monday.

Sam's Club
And while not technically in Oswego, that big building going up on the corner of 30 and 34 is a Sam's Club. It's expecting an opening next spring.
