Looking for something that you and your children can share this summer?  Check out the summer reading programs for children and for adults.  In order to participate in any of the reading programs, you must have a valid library card.  Children’s reading programs are for toddlers through high school.  More information and registration to receive the appropriate reading log is available at the Youth Services Information desk on the lower level.  Miss Rita and her staff always welcome their young visitors (and parents). People may not realize the full extent of resources available to the community at the Yorkville Public Library.  During this time of economic difficulty people can turn to their local library for help in a number of ways. The Yorkville Public Library has launched a new program entitled “Remembering Yesterday.” The program was inspired by the Kendall County Record’s recent article about Susan Kritzberg’s remembrance of years gone by and her desire to preserve some of the history of Yorkville as she recalls it from her childhood.  “Remembering Yesterday” will seek and record an oral history from individuals who have been involved in the community for many years prior to the area’s growth explosion.  The library has sought to find individuals who are from a broad spectrum of careers and community involvement that…
