Recycled Ruffled T-shirt Scarf for Fall

Well, the weather is changing and a comfy scarf will soon be a constant part of my wardrobe. I have seen lots of t-shirt scarves in stores and on the internet so thought this would be a good first project to share. Scarves are super easy to make. If you can sew a straight stitch you're half way there.

To start just pick a few t-shirts in colors you like. I love grey, so I picked through my stash of discarded t-shirts for shades of grey. I never throw away t-shirts; there are so many uses for them rather than ending up in a landfill.

I made a ruffled extra long t-shirt scarf. I like my scarves to be extra long so they wrap double  but you can make yours any length that suits you. The fun of making a project your self is being able to personalize it.
