Yorkville High School's Briana Stuepfert will run track next year for the Central Arkansas University Bears.

Stuepfert committed to the Conway, Arkansas-based university, according to a press release from the NCSA Athletic Recruiting Network.

The NCSA, an agency that provides proactive assistance for high school athletes looking at the collegiate level, called the committment a foundation for Stuepfert's "next 40 years."

"Not only did Briana have the tools she needed for the recruiting process, NCSA also educated her on the steps she needed to take to achieve her goal," the release said.

Stuepfert maintains a 3.8 GPA at Yorkville High School and is a member of the National Honor Society, the release said.

"As a four-year varsity athlete, Briana helped her team win Conference, Sectional, Regional, and State champs the past two seasons," the release said.
