Yorkville Business Receives Counterfeit Bills: Police Blotter

Reports from the Yorkville Police Department; March 1 - March 2.

 

Saturday, March 2

Retail theft

Yessica Mata, 21, of the 0-99 block of Route 34, Plano, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. in 900 block of Ericapl, Yorkville and charged with retail theft, said Yorkville police. Mata reportedly concealed two items under her outer clothing and left the retail store.

Driving with revoked license

Victor A. Beltran, 26, of the 500 block of Moore Street, Somonauk, was arrested at 6:55 p.m. at Route 47 and Fox and charged for driving with a revoked license, said Yorkville police.

Violation of order of protection

Yorkville police responded to a report of a violation of order of protection that occurred at 11:24 a.m. in the 300 block of East Somonauk.

Harassment

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of telephone harassment that occurred at 1:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Mill Street.

Friday, March 1

Deceptive practice

Yorkville police responded to a reported deceptive practice that occurred at 2:18 p.m. at the Castle Bank in the 100 block of West Veteran’s Parkway, Yorkville. Employees reportedly received two counterfeit $20 bills.
