Empower Martial Arts & Fitness places great emphasis on personal safety. This is very important in a fitness establishment that others seem to overlook. The FitStrike program is AWESOME and never the same routine twice!

Bare Bones Cross Fit is by far the best place to workout. I have not only lost inches and gained strength but have met some of the most amazing people. I can go for days about how great this place is, but I think you should come find out for yourself. Melissa and Dave did (and keep doing) a great service to the community by opening Bare Bones.

Bare Bones Crossfit!!! We will NEVER go back to a traditional gym. Since April, my husband, son and I have each seen real results! Collectively, we have lost 73 lbs!! We had been working out for years but never saw improvements like we are!! My son can now do pull ups!! I can climb a rope and can almost do a pull up and my husband is getting ripped!! At Bare Bones Crossfit our coaches are professional and they know their stuff! And there is ALWAYS a coach on the floor...always. If you are tired of wasting time on treadmills, ellipticals and bored in the weight room, come to Bare Bones!! If you have been working out for months and months but have not seen a change in yourself then it's time to try somthing new!!!! It's a different workout every day...anyone can do it...and the people are all friendly, encouraging and helpful and FUN!! The coaches will motivate you...it's you against yourself! They just want to help you be better than you were yesterday!

My son participated in Marial arts for over a year and we were noticing he was not being challenged. He enlisted into the Marines and we became very concerned that he would not survive boot camp. So we took our concerns by recommdation of a dear friend to Dave and Melissa and they assured us that he would never have that issue at Bare Bones. A couple of months ago he had a mini bootcamp in St Louis and team Morris was honored for their achievements. That alone speaks for it self. We feel so fortunate to have such a place/knowledgeable people who knew exactly what our son needed to prepare for becoming a Marine. We thank you for challenging, guiding and teaching our son what it takes to become successful. The Robinson's

Empower Martial Arts & Fitness is a great place and offers a variety of fitness, personal safety, and martial art instruction that works for individual and family schedules. I enrolled my daughter in self defense class and was so impressed with what she learned. I now have confidence she will be able to protect herself if attacked. This was my introduction to Empower and now enjoy the FitStrike workouts! As I said above a great place, hard workouts but fun too! I'm hooked.

Two of my best friends and a lot of the girls on the other side of my block go to empower's Fitstrike class and they keep telling I need to go! They speak very highly of that place. I can definitely see why, their body looks amazing!

At the age of 50, many things start to look different. Typically your career is set, your kids are growing up &/ or leaving, and your hopefully still are enjoying your marriage. But I couldn't play driveway basketball or cut the grass without being gassed. I saw BBCF, called to set up element (orientation) and about died :). I loved it! I've lost close to 35 pounds and am in the best shape of my life and far from done. I am not get'n skinny, I am an athlete & it's so cool. The place is a bunch of friends, working hard, and cheering you on the whole time. Dave and Melissa are "community" . They do events/ fundraisers which are just awesome to see how they give back to the area and people in need. I'm a Crossfitter for life. Thanks Barebones!

Bare Bones Crossfit is THE place to get in shape. I have tried many other workouts: running, regular gym, P90X, Insanity, but all those fail to bring the intensity, challenges, and FUN that I have discovered at Bare Bones CrossFit! I look forward to my workouts. I get upset when I see what workouts I missed on my off days. The group workouts are an absolute blast! All the members are so down to earth and incredibly supportive. It truly is a community. Since joining in January, I have lost nearly 30 pounds and 3+ inches on my waist--and I'm over 40 and have had 5 knee surgeries. I can't thank Dave & Melissa (and all the coaches) enough for this incredible opportunity to make myself better! Embrace the Suck!!! Love it!!

Bare Bones is head and shoulders above the other workout facilities in Yorkville. The community that coaches Dave, Melissa, Jason, Katie and Ryan created encourages healthy living, support amongst athletes and most importantly fun. If you want a facility that produces results and not just the same old routine, Bare Bones is the place for you. They should play more Bieber though...

barebones cross fit is AMAZING, need i say more!? It's like a mini family there and all the coaches are wonderful, they keep the workouts fun and they really motivate you to keep pushing yourself. I am so glad i found Barebones cross fit. No matter how big or small the class sizes can be you will still feel like you are getting coached one on one. They always have events they are planning for the members to be involved and are always finding new ways to implement fun work-outs, such as trying to set a challenge up at the water park. I recommend this place to anybody looking for real results.

Since joining Crossfit in October, Barebones Crossfit has been awesome. The workouts are intense. My wife and I are always surprised at how much we have been able to accomplish. Melissa and Dave are great. Ryan,Katie and Jason are always encouraging. We have met some of the most amazing people. Recently I was asked by a family member on how much longer I would be going. I immediately said for the rest of my life. I can't imagine not participating.
