Photo: YMS Girls Track Relay Team Honored
The four girls on the 4X400 relay team were honored at Tuesday's City Council meeting.
Yorkville Mayor Gary Golinski presented certificates to the 8th grade girls 4 x 400 relay team members, who captured third at the state track meet with a time of 4:17.36. The presentation happened at the beginning of the City Council meeting Tuesday evening.
The relay was comprised of Sydney Beach, Gianna Salzbrunn, Becca Jasutis, and Julia Schultz, with Alexis Bermudez as the alternate.
