Knights of Columbus Giving Trees Available
Christmas toy drive benefits needy and foster children throughout Kendall County.

The Knights of Columbus God's Divine Mercy Council #14463 is hosting Christmas with Santa on Sunday, as well as an on-going toy drive and holiday help line, according to news releases.
The Christmas Breakfast with Santa will be from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Patricks Parish Center, 406 Walnut St., Yorkville. Visitors can bring a toy to give to Santa, and breakfast ticket prices are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors 65 or older, $20 for a family and free for children 13 and younger. Tickets can be reserved by e-mailing tickets@kofcyorkville.org or calling 630-660-8923.
Area residents who need help throughout the holidays with holiday meals, presents or clothing can call the Knights of Columbus Holiday Help Line at 630-882-3341. All hotline information remains confidential.

Do the gifts that K.O.C. collect go to children outside of Kendall County or are the gifts collected only for the children of Kendall? Due to the increase in families supported by the Kendall County Food Pantry, there is such a tremendous need for the children within our own county. It is simply sad that there is a shortage of gifts for the children within in our own communities.

Cheryl, Let me ask one of the organizers. The flier says the gifts go to Kendall County children, but I noticed one of the drop-off locations is in Sandwich, so perhaps they spread out to the surrounding areas, too.
