Enter the Yorkville Patch Coloring Contest
We'll be accepting the coloring sheets at Hometown Days, as well as collecting donations for the Kendall County Food Pantry.
In honor of Hometown Days, Yorkville Patch is hosting a coloring contest.
It's simple: Your child can color in one of the three sheets attached to this article as a PDF, and you can fill out the entry form, which also is attached to this article as a PDF. We'll also have these forms at the Patch booth at Hometown Days.
Then, you just drop the coloring sheet off at the Patch booth at Hometown Days (we'll be there Thursday through Sunday) or at Rosati’s Pizza Pub, 1985 Marketview Dr, Yorkville, and White Water Ice Cream through Sept. 5, 2012.
We will be drawing 10 winners randomly. One grand prize winner will receive a tower of toys and games provided by the Kendall County Food Pantry. There also will be three winners in three age categories (ages 0-5, 6-8, and 8-10) who receive a certificate for a free pizza from Rosati’s. The winners technically will be the parents, who must be legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
If you'd like to help out the Kendall County Food Pantry, you can drop off food and product donations at the Patch booth at Hometown Days, donate money online at www.kendallcountyfoodpantry.org, or mail checks to 1204A Deer St., Yorkville, IL 60560. Right now, pantry organizers particularly need tuna, mayonnaise, canned fruit, dish soap, laundry soap, and canned meals like SpaghettiOs.
Here's the legal fine print:
- Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
- To enter, submit a completed coloring/entry sheet to the Patch booth at Hometown Days or to Rosati's Pizza Pub, 1985 Marketview Dr, Yorkville.
- All entries must be received by 5 p.m. Sept. 5, 2012 (Central Time).
- You may enter once per child
- 16 winners will be selected in a random drawing.
- One grand prize winner will receive a tower of toys and games (approximate retail value $50) provided by the Kendall County Food Pantry. There also will be three winners in three age categories (ages 0-5, 6-8, and 8-10) who receive a certificate for a free pizza from Rosati’s. Approximate retail value of each certificate is $10. Another six winners (two in each age group) will receive a gift certificate to White Water Ice Cream. The retail value of that certificate is $5.
