County leaders have indicated several Animal Control policy changes are being implemented in light of a bull mastiff with a bite history attacking a 6-year-old at the facility.

Attached to this post is a two-page PDF titled "Animal Control Procedural Review." The document was included in the county board packet for Tuesday's meeting.

What do you think about the changes? Tell us in the comments.

I believe the volunteer age could be set at 16 years of age with written testing and approval of Warden. We trust their judgement enough to drive a car after testing and evaluation, the same could apply in volunteer activities in the shelter.
