The United City of Yorkville posted the following information on its Facebook page Monday morning:

The storm related brush pickup will continue this week, and possibly stretch into next week. We are conducting the brush pickup as a two-pickup process. We are working through the City on a first pass with a large truck and a tractor, cutting up pieces of trees and loading them with the tractor. This first pass is meant to only get the largest pieces first, so that the roadways and parkways are clear from large obstructions. Because there have been so many downed full trees, we are leaving the smaller branches and twigs behind for a second pass with a rake and by-hand pickup. We are still working on the soutwest side of the downtown today, and will be moving down Fox Road and towards White Oak Way on this first pass.

We ask everyone to be patient and that we will completely clean up the parkway on our second pass this week. Whatever each homeowner can do to rake the remaining branches an
