St. Patrick's Men's Club Hosts First Meat Raffle
The St. Patrick's Men's Club provided the following news release:
Over 85 people participated in the event held at the St. Patrick Parish Center on 11-11-11. Free food was served to everyone and was prepared by Rick Kraber with the help of Mark Anderson, Steve Freeman, Mike Englehart, Greg Nevills, Tom Hebert and Dick Carlson.
Tickets were sold throughout the raffle by Ashley Kraber, Jean Freeman and Joanne Liebold. The MC’s of the evening were Greg and Julie Kraber, owners of OJ’s Tap here in Yorkville. Greg is also the new President of the Men’s Club.
Many lucky winners went home with delicious 15lb. Pork loins, turkeys and Gusto Hams which are packaged in Montgomery.
Special thanks go to John Purcell for the raffle prizes donated by Yorkville Ace Hardware and Radio Shack. The winner of the 32” Toshiba HD TV was Mike Pfeiffer.
The next Men’s Club activity is a clothing drive in conjunction with the St. Vincent DePaul Society on December 3 & 4 in the Parish east parking lot. All clothing and small household items will be accepted. Everything collected will be distributed to needy families’ right here in the western suburbs.
