Sandwich Storage Company Assists Food Pantry

Yorkville Patch received the following news release:

The Trailer Guy Mobile Storage announced they will again be leasing Kendall County Food Pantry a trailer for overflow storage at no charge.

The trailer service was initially donated to the food pantry two years ago when the organization held a food drive event and needed extra storage. But as the economy continued to worsen and the need for the pantry’s services grew, they soon realized the trailer would be needed on a more permanent basis.

“This economy has really humbled me,” said Paul Auten, owner of The Trailer Guy Mobile Storage. “I’m just glad I am able to do my part to support this organization. They have helped so many Kendall County families during these tough times."

Auten has been volunteering at the food pantry for the past three years. He typically helps with organization and distribution in the pet food division. Auten has also helped with several fundraisers that have benefited the pantry including the Kendall Cares program and a Yorkville Chamber of Commerce casino night that raised nearly $14,000.

The Kendall County Food Pantry serves residents of Kendall County and is located at 1204A Deer Street in Yorkville. In 2010, the food pantry gave food and supplies to 6,000 people over the holiday season, 2,500 of which were children. They are a non-profit organization operated exclusively by volunteers and rely 100% on donations. Besides non-perishable food, the pantry also offers clothing and other household supplies. To make a donation or volunteer call 630-553-0473 or visit their website at www.kendallcountyfoodpantry.org.

The Trailer Guy Mobile Storage is a family owned and operated Sandwich based business that offers a variety of storage options for commercial or residential clients. Their services include mobile storage units, several locations of permanent storage units and moving supplies. They may be contacted by calling 815-786-6757 or by visiting their website at www.tgmstorage.com

Great job Paul... Raging Waves Waterpark also offers "Make a Difference Monday's" to help the food bank. The waterpark gives you $1.00 off for every pantry item donated (up to 4) on your full day Monday admission. Last years collections at Raging Waves supported over 500 families!
