The Sandwich Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a new holiday event on Saturday, December 3, 4:30-7:30pm. The event will be called the Peppermint Village Fair and will be centered around the gazebo on Railroad Street in downtown Sandwich.

This family friendly event will be free to attend and include holiday themed activities and games for children and refreshments. Tentatively there will also be carolers and a living nativity for attendees to enjoy. The Chamber of Commerce will also have Santa's elves  on hand to help collect donations that will benefit Sandwich schools and the Kiwanis Fruit of the Room project. In addition, many of the downtown businesses will be open with specials and refreshments. 

This is a new event for the Chamber and we are really hoping to make this an annual occurrence,” said Alethia Hummel, member of the Peppermint Village planning committee. “We are encouraging businesses and community organizations to join us in making the Peppermint Village a unique and fun event for the whole family. If any group has a suggestion for how they would like to participate, please don't hesitate to give me a call.”

The Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking businesses to sponsor games and activities in the Peppermint Village tent. The cost to sponsor a table is $25 for Chamber Members or $35 for non-members. Each sponsor is asked to provide a game, activity or refreshment. While the event is not a typical vendor show, sponsors are able to display information about their business and hand out marketing materials.
