Ryan James Horne, age 25, of Yorkville, IL, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident on Sunday, July 15, 2012.  He was born on April 12, 1987 in Naperville, IL, the son of Donald James Horne and Janice K. Remington.  Ryan was known to his close friends as “Don”. 

Ryan was a 2005 graduate of Yorkville High School.  He served his country proudly with the United States Army 82^nd Airborne Paratroopers and Infantry at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  Ryan had just dedicated four years of honorable service for our country consisting of two tours, both in Iraq and Afghanistan, and had been awarded the rank of Sergeant.  He loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar.  Ryan also enjoyed several hobbies, including drawing and cars.

He is survived by his parents, Donald Horne, of Cincinnati, OH, and Janice K. Remington, of Yorkville, IL; his brothers, Donald Horne, of Cincinnati, OH, and Grant Horne, of Normal, IL; his paternal grandparents, Don and Gloria Horne, of Cincinnati, OH; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Butler Remington, and Carl and Hazel Strause; and his uncle, Donald James Remington.

A Funeral Service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy., Yorkville, IL. 

Friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 20, 2012 and again from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville.
