Mary Alice Nugent, age 60 of Batavia, IL passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. She was born on November 20, 1951 in Evergreen Park, IL the daughter of Paul J. and Irene (Judge) Nugent.

Mary Alice was a 1973 graduate of St. Xavier College in Chicago, IL. She was formerly employed in the Claims Department of the Illinois Social Security Department. Mary Alice was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. She was an avid supporter of the American Diabetes Association. Mary Alice was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, niece and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Irene and Thomas McKeown of Oswego, IL; her siblings, Margaret Nugent, Paul (Karlene) Nugent, Thomas (Lora) Nugent, Maureen (Ken Blaida) Dutkanych, Denise (fiancé Michael Schlau) Kieres, Michelle (Jeff) Muellner, Timothy (Bonnie Jax) Nugent, William Nugent, Matthew (Amy) Nugent and Raymond (Sheri) Nugent; her sister-in-law, Sally Nugent; her special aunt, Mary Therese Nugent; as well as many, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul J. “Bud” Nugent; and her brother, Christopher Nugent.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 23, 2012 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut Street in Yorkville, IL with Father Michael Callea, M.I.C., officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Bristol, IL.

Friends may visit from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countryside Parkway in Yorkville, IL.
