Tasha has been missing since 12/17 and was last seen crossing eldamain rd and heading towards target in Yorkville. She is 65lbs and is wearing a purple collar and is very friendly! Please call 630-859-9086 or 331-425-9854 if you found her or have seen her--any info would be most helpful--she is Black/white/gray wiht blue eyes.

I live in the area and will definitely be keeping an eye out.

If you haven't already I highly recommend posting this on the following Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LostDogsIllinois There are over 5k+ fans that are very active in searching for missing dogs. They are also a great resource for families and have lots of advice for what to do when a pet goes missing.

Hope she comes home soon.

Thanks for the suggestion! I posted a link on the Facebook page, but I would encourage the pet owner to do a separate post with a photograph. I hope this story has a happy ending :)

I just received this message from Tasha's owner: We had just about given up hope until last Wednesday when several people saw her running around in Kylyn's Crossing. Tasha actually tried to get into someone garage for help but they got scared and closed the door. That was last Wednesday. On Friday I received a phone call that the school bus saw her in Whispering Meadows on Goldenrod Street.

A friend of mine found a husky yesterday! with a hurt leg! I've contacted her, Jessica Lawson, on facebook, for she had posted a picture of the dog. I sure hope this is her! She also took her to the vet for some care.

Hayley, Thanks for reaching out to your friend! If this isn't the right dog, encourage her to e-mail pics and info to me (jillian.duchnowski@patch.com) and we'll post a separate announcement on Patch. If only that husky had a microchip!

Just saw a HUGE white dog, not sure if it was the husky on Bristol Ridge by the Fire Station. The car in front of me had to swerve not to hit it and then it took off across the street towards the farm that is for sale. Called the police, they said they had no idea about a missing dog, so they sent me to animal control where I had to leave a message. I'm sorry this is all I have, and I'm really not sure if it is the right dog, but I had to say something since I couldn't follow him where he went to try to help.

Hi all, the owner has closure with Tasha. She was found, but she had unfortunately passed over to the Rainbow Bridge. I encourage anyone who has found a dog or seen one running at large to post the info on Lost Dogs Illinois facebook page. Its such a great resource with lots of followers. My heart continues to go out to Tasha's family, and to all others whose furry babies aren't home with them.
