I will have to say that I know very little about Matt Prochaska except that he obviously must be a little wet behind the ears or getting terrible campaign advice because his news release listed endorsements from Carlo Colosimo, Rose Spears, and Chris Funkhouser. Listing endorsements from three Yorkville Aldermen who have unapologetically sucked up tens of thousands of dollars in benefits paid for by the citizens that they are supposed to represent may not be the most effective campaign strategy. Even though I would say that I am of an opinion that the current County Board desperately needs some turnover, I don’t think that the citizens of the County should risk bearing the burden of another politician that shortly after they are elected, go about the business of cashing in for themselves. I can only hope that if elected Mr. Prochaska would rise above the character of his endorsers, but unfortunately I fear that the old adage may hold true, that “birds of a feather flock together”.
