To celebrate their 75th Anniversary, Kendall County Republican Women is planning a brunch at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club on Rt. 126 in Yorkville, on Saturday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m.
One activity will be a "Chinese Auction" that will raise funds for Kendall County CASA. KCRW chose CASA as their Community Service Project for 2011-2012. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers work to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in Juvenile Court.
On October 7, 1936, a meeting of Kendall County Republican women was held at the library in Plano, Illinois for the purpose of organizing a Republican Women's league. The organization was established and named "Kendall County Republican Women." Seventy-five years later, KCRW is still going strong. It is the largest Republican women's organization in the state of Illinois.
Kendall County has changed dramatically since 1936, and KCRW has grown and changed with it and proud that several members now hold leadership roles and elected offices throughout the state.
