The Kendall County Young Republicans provided the following news release:

The Kendall County Young Republicans are hosting the 2nd Annual Multi-County Young Republican Conference with the Young Republicans from Kendall, DeKalb, Lake , Grundy, Kane, DuPage, McHenry, Chicago and Will.  The event is being held on Tuesday, August 21th at  at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club off of Route 126 in Yorkville.  

The conference will consist of a VIP hour from 5:30-6:30 followed by  federal and state officials in a panel discussion crafting the Republican story in an effort to engage young people throughout the region.  

The discussion will be moderated by WLS-AM's Dan Proft and participants will include Congressman Peter Roskam who is the Chief Majority Whip of the US House of Representatives, Congressman Randy Hultgren, Congresswoman Judy Biggert, Congressman Joe Walsh, Rep Kay Hatcher, Senator Sue Rezin, Rep Bob Pritchard, Rep Michael Connely, Rep Joe Sosnowski and candidates Pat Fee and Bob Kalnicky.    

“We really made our first effort last year to engage young people in an effort to generate the same excitement that the democrats were able to harness in 2008.  Now we are less than 100 days to the election, it's time to really get people engaged.  Last year we brought in over 200 people and this year once again will be one of our biggest efforts to educate and encourage involvement by young people”, said Kendall County Young Republican Chairman Scott Gryder.
