Candidates Attend Democrats Monthly Meeting

Candidates seeking nominations for Congress, Senate, and State Representative attended the Kendall County Democratic Central Committee monthly meeting on Sept. 26 in Montgomery. Introductions were made along with signing and handing out petitions, followed by a question and answer session. The KCDCC would like to thank the candidates and those who participated.
Frank McClatchey, Democratic Candidate for IL State Congress District 14. “Frank is more than a public servant; he is deeply rooted in the community. Carole Cheney, Democratic candidate for IL State Representative District 84. Cheney, who won more than 100,000 votes in her bid for DuPage County Board Chairman in 2010, highlighted job creation as the most important issue facing the State of Illinois. “My involvement in the community combined with my professional experience in the public, nonprofit, and business sectors makes me a uniquely qualified candidate,” Cheney explained.
Carole holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana and Springfield, respectively, as well as a law degree from the Northwestern University. Corinne M. Pierog, Democratic Candidate for IL State Senate District 25. Ms. Pierog holds an M.B.A. from Chicago’s Roosevelt University and a Master of Arts degree from San Francisco State University. An entrepreneur, she is the principal and owner of Sustainable Leadership Solutions, a consulting company specializing in leadership development.
Active in the community, Pierog serves on the School Board of St. Charles Community Unit District 303, chairing the policy committee and is the board liaison to the Norris Recreation Center and the St. Charles Housing Commission She lives in St. Charles.
